Kibisu gaeshi (heel trip reversal) is a single leg takedown adopted later by the Kodokan into their Shinmeisho No Waza (newly accepted techniques) list. It is categorized as a hand technique, Te-waza. In the technique, Kibisu-gaeshi, Tori lowers his body and grabs Uke’s heel from the inside or outside with one hand and sweeps Uke down backward in a split second.
