Utsuri goshi video
Info about "Utsuri goshi video"
Utsuri Goshi, or the changing hip throw, is one of the original 40 throws of Judo as developed by Jigoro Kano. It belongs to the fourth group, Yonkyo, of the traditional throwing list, Gokyo no Nagewaza, of Kodokan Judo. It is also part of the current 67 Throws of Kodokan Judo. It is classified as a hip technique, Koshi Waza. [1]
From behind the uke, tori lifts up with the hips as in Ushiro goshi, but instead of throwing straight to the ground, tori swings uke in mid-air, getting their own body out of the way so that uke can literally swing on to the hips of tori who then performs a hip throw akin to O goshi. [2]
