Ude gatame video
Info about "Ude gatame video"
Ude gatame (straight arm lock) is one of the official 29 grappling techniques of Kodokan Judo. It is one of the nine joint techniques of the Kansetsu-waza list, one of the three grappling lists in Judo’s Katame-waza enumerating 29 grappling techniques. All of Judo’s competition legal joint techniques are arm locks.
Tori’s knee closest to uke’s legs can rest on uke to prevent movement. Control of the shoulder by pressing down can dispense with this need, however. The thumb of uke should be against tori’s neck so that the elbow is pressed in the correct direction.
Mune-gyaku (Chest reversal) is the name given if tori was to drive their chest forward and to the floor. Hiji-makikomi is the same lock from a standing position, with tori’s arm winding around uke’s arm to apply the lock to uke’s elbow.
