Makura kesa gatame video
Info about "Makura kesa gatame video"
Makura kesa gatame (pillow scarf hold) A strong ground hold in Judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu that lends itself well to MMA fighting with striking. The tori holds the uke in a Kesa Gatame, but the leg of the tori nearest the mat is brought up towards and underneath the uke’s head so that tori can hold onto their own leg. Considered by the Kodokan as (Hon) Kesa Gatame.
There’s also an alternate version: the tori’s arm moves from around uke’s neck and underneath the shoulder of uke’s furthest arm and then holding tori’s leg from this version. This last version is considered by the Kodokan as Kuzure Kesa Gatame.
